CAUSE-DRIVEN PROGRAMS

Our programs strengthen and inspire children, individuals and families to develop to their fullest potential. We work every day to improve the lives of members by nurturing youth development, energizing healthy living and inspiring social responsibility.

Program Highlights

• Summer Camp at the Y is a time of play and discovery for continued learning during out of school time. The Hamilton Central YMCA, in partnership with the City of Hamilton, provide a free, inner-city playground program to ensure that low-income youth have a safe place to play and nutritious meals to eat throughout the summer.

• The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Field special needs baseball program allows youth with special needs to play baseball.

• Operation Splash provides elementary school students with free, lifesaving swim lessons and a week of summer camp.

• LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a physical activity and well-being program designed to help adult cancer survivors build strength, increase flexibility and endurance and ultimately improve quality of life.

• Fun2B Fit, a youth obesity prevention program, is coordinated with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital to help youth struggling with their weight enjoy fun physical activity at the Y while learning the importance of health and nutrition.
