YOUTH SPORTS

The Y nutures the potential of children through the YMCA's Youth Sports programming by strengthening character in our youth, engaging families, and building lasting relationships.  Participants in these programs build skills, learn about teamwork, and focus on sportsmanship.  Families are presented with second-to-none volunteer opportunities as coaches, team parents, and committee members.

Instructional Sports

Your kids will love our instructional sports programs that introduce them to the fundamentals of basketball, soccer, t-ball/coach pitch, flag football, floor hockey, and sports of all sorts! Parent love that the YMCA's five core values - faith, respect, responsibility, honesty, and caring-are infused into every class so that kids learn the value of sportsmanship and healthy competition, rather than rivalry, right from the start. These programs encourage team building, individual development, positive self-image and a sense of fair play and mutual respect for others.

Youth Sports Leagues

Kids enrolled in YMCA Youth Sports leagues learn much more than the fundamentals of basketball, soccer, volleyball, and t-ball/coach pitch. They are introduced to the Everybody's A Winner philosophy-where everyone wins at the YMCA if they focus on acquiring good sportsmanship and character development skills. The core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and caring are part of every YMCA youth sports league. Fair play and self-esteem trump winning every time!
